Episode 3 of Ghost Hunters Academy is almost over, and someone is getting sent home!!!!

Also, they added a new cadet, who was horrible and before the reveal looked like the most likely to be eliminated.

Once again, Chris and Heathyr are the ones I want to see gone, although Heathyr was a lot less annoying this week. Ben got in a bit of trouble by letting the new girl, Jane, lead him around even though he was more experienced. In his defense, she was rather good looking and he seems to be a nerd. 'Nuff said.

Jane and Heathyr were up for elimination. Heathyr was eliminated which kind of surprised me since she was honest the whole time and seemed to be doing better, while Jane lied about knowing how to use the gear and did a bad job investigating. I think the rest of the cadets thought that too.

We'll see what happens and if anyone gets eliminated next week, when they investigate Buffalo Terminal Central

Remember when I said Rowdy Roddy Piper should be made the new GM of RAW? If he doesn't get the job, can I recommend Jesse Ventura?

800th POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY!!!!!! I'VE WRITTEN 800 POSTS!!!!!

Ok, so this is actually 803, but there are a few drafts that I'll probably never finish, so once I delete them, it will be 800.

Wonder if I can reach 1000 by the 5 year anniversary of the Freak Show (March 23, 2010 in case you are wondering when that will be.)
I heard Micheal Jackson won a bunch of awards at the American Music Awards. 4 out of 5, which is apparently a record.

Before I go any further, let me state that, for the record, I am not the biggest fan of Micheal Jackson's, but I don't hate him. He had talent, but after Bad I never really liked any of his stuff much. Maybe if he had become more Metal. And I can understand why so many people liked his music so much. but for me, after Bad, most of his stuff wasn't, in my opinion, as good. Not sure why, haven't listened to his music enough to figure that out. It's more of a "you like it or you don't" sort of thing.

the question I have to ask is this. Would he have been even nominated if he hadn't died? The album that got him nominated was a greatest hits collection, which automatically isn't fair to the competition who released original content. But would that album have been nominated had he not died? I doubt it, since I don't recall any other greatest hits albums being nominated for a major award. Likewise, had he not died, would he have won? Since Pop/Soul/R&B (the categories he won) are not a genre I normally listen to, he may have even with a new, original album. But again, would he if he hadn't died?

I asked the same thing of Heath Ledger's Oscar win; would he have won if he hadn't died. He did good as Joker, but I doubt he would have even been nominated if he hadn't died.

Lifetime Achievement awards, albums that are new and deserve to win, artist of the year. These and more are all things that I can see being awarded after death. but the problem you run into is always the same. Was the winner actually the best choice? Was their win a sentimental one? In some cases the answer is obvious (Heath Ledger.) In others not so much. If it had been a brand new album, I probably wouldn't have had a problem with Jackson winning. But since it is a Greatest Hits album, I can't help but question whether or not he should have won.
There has been a fair amount of talk about getting a new stadium for the Vikings, just like the Twins got one.

I'm guessing that there will be one. the deal might be made at the last minute, but it will happen. But it would be stupid to spend the time and money to get a new stadium when there is a perfectly good one all ready available.

Most people that want a new stadium will say that the Dome isn't designed as a football stadium, and they are right. It was made to house the Viking and the Twins, as well as concerts and big events and conferences. With the Twins in their own stadium and places like the Target Center giving event organizers another option, the Metrodome will be empty once the football season ends. With nothing going on, why not remodel it? Turn it from a multi purpose building into a football stadium. It might not create as many jobs as a new stadium would, and that is one of the big reasons most new stadium advocates say there should be one (even though those jobs would only exist for a few years, then allot of the people would be back on unemployment) but in the current economy it is the better choice. And it would make use of a decent building that is already paid for.

Why have I been seeing so many Direct TV ads since I got Dish? It's possible they were there before, I just didn't notice. But there have been a lot that have shown up online. And I usually notice the ads online.
Episode 2 of Ghost Hunters Academy was tonight (it's actually on right now, and I'm basically typing this as I watch it.) they are on the Battleship North Carolina, which is exciting for me because I only vaguely remember the first investigation there.

Unfortunately the show wasn't even on for 5 minutes before Heathyr opened her mouth and brought up the "I'm a medium" stuff. a few minutes later she did an interview segment where she didn't mention it, which I think is a first so far.

Then they get lost and spent 5 minutes of the show lost and getting chewed out. They didn't take notes to find places, which is stupid. They said, in part, that it was to figure out where to put cameras. Shouldn't they have done that during the tour?

Overall it was a better episode. Susan looks like she is the early lead in who will be picked. Ben and Karl are working well together and reminding me of Steve and Tango. Chris isn't nearly as good as he things he is, and Heathyr is still annoying.

Looks like someone might get kicked off next week. Regardless, should be interesting to see what they find next week, at Eastern State Penitentiary.

Why is there no option to lock tabs in place in Chrome? It's been out for a little over a year and is open source! Why hasn't anyone figured this out by now!

Ok, so it is only partially open source. apparently part of the code isn't, and maybe the part controlling tabs isn't open. If that is the case, hopefully the current version is better or is completely open. I might be able to say if it is or not, since the new version (3.0) came out a couple days ago, but apparently it won't connect to the update servers!

you know what, Screw V3. I'm going to update, and I'm going strait to V4.0.2 (got to love Beta releases)

Update: ok, maybe I can forget about that idea. Orbit keeps coming back and saying "I can only DL 90% of this.

Stupid Orbit. Don't make me replace you with an updated version.

Update: YAY!!!! It finished downloading!!!!

Going to update Orbit anyways though. Because I'm evil. Mwhahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Update: I got V4.0.2 installed and so far so good. seemed to load faster and load pages faster, which is always good. And they added Themes! Don't know if you can accidently drag tabs to different windows yet, but I will post something if that happens

Rowdy Roddy Piper is the guest host of Raw tonight and Hot Rod just called Vince out. I just had a very cool thought. As much as I like the guest host concept, how is this for an idea.

Rowdy Roddy Piper, General Manager of Raw.

When I saw that Star Trek: Nemesis was on AMC today, I quickly added it to the DVR.

As it started, I realized I had no idea why I was recording it. I have it on DVD, and have for quite some time. But I'm still recording it. I'll delete it later

After all, lets face it. Like I'm going to watch something else when Star Trek is on.
Why can't I be stuck in a time loop like in Groundhogs Day?

This is interesting. Apparently I just sent myself an e-mail. what makes it interesting is the fact that my Hotmail account, nor any other E-Mail program, site, ect are active at the moment.

Of course, since my system is running so craptacular that it is pretty much useless, it might be one I sent myself a few years ago and is just not getting there.
WWE superstars were on Dinner: Impossible. Big show and Stephanie gave Robert his mission, The Miz and JR helped him in the Kitchen, and even Santino got involved, cracking eggs and cooking scallops. HE wasn't as funny as he normaly is, but he and The Miz had some fun arguing, which lead to a "fight" :) Gail Kim helped out too.

The second half of the show was more like a normal episode; after the fight everything was normal. Was hoping to see more superstars, but over all it as a good episode, and pretty funny over all.
I just finished watching the first episode of Ghost Hunters Academy, and it wasn't bad. They didn't spend much time on the investigation itself, but that made sense. this episode, and the series it'self, is about the team learning how to investigate, and they apparently felt they had to spend plenty of time introducing this team.

No one was kicked off (assuming they do some sort of voting off the island sort of thing) but I hope the first one off the show is Heathyr. She's a medium, or at least thinks she is. and she'll tell you every time she opens her mouth! I don't think she spoke once with out mentioning that she was a medium! it got annoying fast.

I love this line from Castle

There are two kinds of folks who sit around thinking about how to kill people. Psychopaths and mystery writers. I'm the kind that pays better.

I would say this applies to writers of all kinds. After all, we all think about killing characters every once in a while, and to do it right, it takes a lot of thought, even if it is just to have a character die in a crash off screen or something simple like that.

Of course, any one who reads my stuff knows that, much like horror writers, I've spent a lot of time thinking about this. After all, have to make each death unique.
After 15 minutes on hold:
hold voice: thank you for holding. We know that your time is valuable, Please remain on the line. You are just moments away from speaking to one on our agents.
Me: Been holding for 15 minutes. Maybe you should hire more people.

Should have done that sooner. a minute later talked to someone

Writing Month--November 2009

It's been over 2 years since I did one of these (August 2007 to be exact) and since it is National Novel Writing Month again, I thought I would do another one!

Last years NaNoWriMo didn't go that well. In fact if you click on my profile for NaNoWriMo it shows I didn't even participate. With moving and trying to find a new place, I didn't get much done or a word count uploaded. I participated, just not officially.

This year should be better. I am working on 2 projects. The first, Demon's Gate, is a new project I came up with a couple of days ago. it is about a guy who is trying to rescue his girlfriend after she is kidnapped by a mysterious organization. Might not sound like enough for a novel, and you would be right. I figure by the time I am done it should be at about 21,000 words. If you know me, you know I can come up with a good story with a simple premise like that, and I think the one I came up with will be fun to write and to read. and if you like the Double Dragon games, you will like it since they kind of inspired the storyline.

I will also be working on SPW. I am almost done with a PPV, and that will start the second week of September 2008. I probably won't post anything (or any of the stuff I already have done but haven't posted) until next month simply because updates like that take time and that is time I should be typing. and by typing I of course mean watching TV and playing video games. Stupid cable guys are coming tomorrow, which means I have to put off putting off writing so I can watch a show till tomorrow :( Damn them for denying me that excuse. Now I will have to rely on Call Of Duty: World At War and Smackdown VS Raw 2010!

Update: 11/4 Word Count: 0. I posted this!

Update: 11/12 Word Count: 1613. Finished HOH: A Date With Death. ready to start on the second week of SPW programming from September 2008.

Update: 11/17 Word Count: 3090. Finished week 2 and booked the rest of the month. Dragonstar is shaping up nicely. Some changed I made to the way I write the shows will make the rest of the month easier, and the build up to Fright Night even easier.

Update: 11/21 Word Count: 4396. Finished another week of SPW action. Just 2 more shows till Dragonstar.

Update: 11/25 Word Count: 5830. SPW August 2008 is done is done! Got Dragonstar 9 booked (Usually leave promos till last, so still had to book those) and will start working on it in a bit.

Update: 11/30 Word Count: 7649. Dragonstar 9 is done! And it is 11:31 PM. I could keep working, but I think I'm going to call it. Expect a summary tomorrow some time.

I just read the Lords Of Pain report from the TNA House Show when they were in Mankato a month ago. (the report can be found here.) The guy who wrote this is either an idiot, from out of state, or ignorant of anything beyond wrestling.

Here is how the guy summarized the show

As for the crowd, very disappointed in the numbers. I thought that Minnesota was a professional wrestling hot bed for fans. Guess I was wrong. All in all a fairly decent show and all in around 2 hours. Special kudos for Hernandaz, ODB, Daniels, and Matt Morgan who stuck around to sign more than 3 or 4 autographs after the matches. Class acts those 4, and lets not forget J.B. with the obligatory, "maybe the next time we are in Minnesota, it should be for a PPV". Really J.B.? Mankato? St. Cloud? Rochester? Hey, you ever hear a a couple little towns by the name of Minneapolis and St. Paul?

First, the PPV J.B. mentioned? We over heard him say that they were trying for January, and that was more info then the possible return and PPV some time in the future that he said when they were in Rochester in the spring. Might be obligatory, but sounds like things are looking good for a PPV in the state! We are already planning on getting ringside tickets for when they do (or at least the next show!)

as for the superstars he mentions, Hernandez wasn't out much longer then any of the others, nor was ODB (she came out wearing a Twins Jersey. probably wanted to get back to her hotel or a bar to watch the game. would have been cool if she had gone to Fridays, like we did, but oh well) Daniels wasn't out very long, but he did play along one Jairus asked him to sign a Curry Man card and he said "that's not me, but I'll sign it anyways." Matt Morgan on the other hand was one of the first ones out and the last one to leave. HE spent a lot of time talking with fans, signing autographs and taking pictures. AJ Styles was also pretty cool when he was out, although that might have been because Dan brought his replica belt, which is a really high end replica, for AJ to sign. He hadn't seen one that good and I think he enjoyed checking it out before he signed it.

As for the turn out, what do you expect. First of all I don't think it was that heavily advertised. I listen to KXLP, a station out of Mankato, a fair amount both in the car and at work and I didn't hear much from them, even though they were giving away tickets and J.B. said he used to work there (don't remember that, but it might have been behind the scenes) Second they were going up against the Viking and the Twins. The Twins were on fire at the en of the season, with us taking a table at Fridays making sure we could see a TV from where we were so we could see the score. and we aren't that big of baseball fans! And MInnesota might be a hotbed for wrestling, and we might be the State Of Hockey, but football is THE sport in the land of 10,000 lakes. from the sounds of it the St Cloud show the night before was much better with more people (not many, but more and the crowd was more into it) but they didn't have to go up against the Vikings and the Twins.

Finally! Indisputable proof that PC (and by extension Windows 7) is better then Mac!
